A beautiful onyx violin echoes the delicate yet firm shape of the body. A solar plexus center, a chest, a spine and  neck of a woman can be seen, as we explore the notion of sounds being produced in a violin: a process of production beginning at the core, rising up in the body through the top. The strings, starting at the center, extend upward like a spiral staircase around the instrument, suggesting the beaming of music projecting from the violin into the world.
