SOLAR SYSTEM

In Kiryat Motzkin, Gadi Fraiman built a solar system sculpture out of stainless steel. “The solar system fascinates me. It isn’t to be taken for granted that there is a star, and a sun, and life! For me it isn’t at all obvious.” In his sculpture the solar system, usually a grand and thus imperceivable concept becomes visible before our very eyes. Its relation to the viewer’s body, too, allows him to experience the solar system in a visceral way. Gadi allowed his creativity to flourish in the connecting structures between the stars, where flowing lines dance and hold the distances between the stars.
